Plan Outline

This plan provides specialisation in the areas of musicianship, musicology, ethnomusicology, performance, composition, music technology and jazz studies.

Plan Structure

Students are required to complete a prescribed sequence of courses (made up of core courses and options) in the areas of musicology and musicianship (60 units of credit) and professional practices (36 units of credit).

Students who do not complete MUSC3101 Practices in Music are required to complete a course from the ARTS3000 series. In addition, 36UOC of contextual studies and 12UOC of General Education are required.

Honours

Honours level study is available in Music. A minimum of a credit average in Music courses throughout the program is a condition of entry to Honours.

Students interested in Honours should consult the Honours plan record for entry requirements.
