Description

Includes private tuition and examination on major instrument, participation in university ensembles, plus classes in performance studies and electives in composing, jazz studies or musicology.


Learning Outcomes

  • Enhanced proficiency in individual and group performance
  • Increased critical listening skills through exercises in style and performance across a broad musical repertoire
  • Skills in composition or musicology in support of performance studies or jazz improvisation and arranging
  • Ability to address issues in performance preparation through study of selected scholarly literature.
