Modern Greek Studies - GREKA13427 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Greek Studies provides students with proficiency in spoken and written Greek through practical language work and an understanding of the way Greek society has developed through the study of Greek literature, history and culture.
The program has a flexible entry-point policy, which allows students to enrol in the language program that builds on their existing language skills. Students are advised to consult Greek Studies staff to plan their entry point in the language sequence. For a major sequence in Greek Studies students must complete 42 units of credit in GREK courses, including at least four consecutive language courses.
Honours level study is available in Greek Studies. Students interested in Honours should enrol in MODL3900 and MODL3901 and refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.
Students with any proficiency in Greek must consult the Greek Studies staff prior to enrolment, unless they have taken Greek in the previous session at UNSW. For further information please see the School Website
For students admitted in their first year of study to GREK2301 or higher on the grounds of ability and/or previous study, such courses will be counted as Level 1 courses in terms of degree requirements. |
