The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) (International), which includes a one year international exchange component, is a highly valued business qualification. The program is designed for students who want to complement their business degree with international studies (including asian studies, european studies or languages), and also for those students who want to align their degree with their interests and careers ambitions in accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing or information systems. The program commences with 4 (compulsory) core courses which provides students with a general understanding of business fundamentals as the building blocks for a career in business. The program normally consists of 32 courses or 192 UOC in approved courses, to be completed over a period of 4 academic years. These UOC need to be made up of:
Compulsory core courses account for 24 UOC (4 courses)
Note: For students intending to complete a major in Actuarial Studies, MATH1151 and MATH1251 should be completed instead of ECON1203 . Please refer to Actuarial Studies outline for further information.

Major requirements account for up to 96 UOC (16 courses) International Studies courses account for a minimum of 24 UOC (4 courses) with a maximum of 42 UOC (7 courses) in international studies and approved areas of study,which are listed below.
Intercultural and Cross Cultural Study accounts for 6 UOC (1 course)
Professional and Contextual Skills accounts for 12 UOC (2 courses) which are selected from the list below
Studies of the Region accounts for 12 UOC (2 courses). Completion of the Commerce Overseas Program (COP) at an overseas institution for two semesters (48 UOC), is normally undertaken during the third and fourth years of study. These courses need to be approved by the Australian School of Business Student Centre.
Approved courses must contain content on the country or region of COP placement. Regions are Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Middle East and Oceania. To proceed on the Commerce Overseas Program students must have achieved satisfactory academic progress in their first and second years of study and must fulfil the requirements of the University's Exchange Program. Free options account for up to 24 UOC (6 courses). The number of free options will depend on a students' chosen major(s) and whether you wish to declare a third major in this program.
