Plan Outline

The International Business specialisation is aimed at students who wish to acquire skills to analyse corporate and business-unit strategies and the broad dimensions of international business.

This specialisation focuses on the three key areas of strategic international management: organising and conducting global operations, the competitive international environment as context, and the roles and responsibilities of management in firms facing international competition.

Plan Structure

In order to qualify for the International Business specialisation, must complete:

4 core courses
2 disciplinary core courses:
and 4 disciplinary courses:
and 2 elective courses selected from MCom offerings.

For those students who wish to extend their MCom (International Business) specialisation, it is recommended that the electives be taken from the following:
Note: COMM5001, COMM5002 and COMM5003 must be taken at the beginning of studies, and COMM5004 must be taken at the end of the program.
