Plan Outline

This plan is not available to commencing students

This plan is for students studying Advanced Greek.
Greek Studies provides students with proficiency in spoken and written Greek through practical language work and an understanding of the way Greek society has developed through the study of Greek literature, history and culture. The program has a flexible entry-point policy, which allows students to enrol in the language program that builds on their existing language skills. Students are advised to consult Greek Studies staff to plan their entry point in the language sequence.

Plan Structure

For a major sequence in Advanced Greek Studies students must complete 42 units of credit in GREK courses, including at least four consecutive language courses.

Placement Information

Students who wish to enrol in a language course without completing the necessary prerequisites are required to complete an online placement application form before the commencement of the semester.

For more information, please see the School Website.

For students admitted in their first year of study to GREK2301 / ARTS2540 or higher on the grounds of ability and/or previous study, such courses will be counted as Level 1 courses in terms of degree requirements.
