Film Studies

Description

Film Studies provides students with a sophisticated understanding of the history and contemporary significance of film as a medium and cinema as an institution. Our Film Studies major offers a comprehensive and innovative program of study that gives students the critical and practical skills to understand, analyse, and work with the most popular art form of the 20th and 21st centuries. Film and related screen media forms are examined in their historical, cultural, and technological contexts, enabling students to develop an international perspective on the place and history of film in global media culture.
