Description

Economic History studies economic processes and events over the long run in the context of social, political, demographic, and technological developments.

Economists are hired throughout both the private and public sectors in a variety of different careers. Within the private sector, economists are hired by major management and economic consulting firms, merchant banks, and institutional investment firms. As private sector economists, these students are employed to analyse the behaviour of industries and specific markets, the internal organisation of firms, and the impact of policy changes on firms and industries.
