Stream Outline

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. It is a broad field that includes brain-behaviour relationships, the processes of perceiving, learning, memory and thinking, the assessment of abilities and attitudes, the origins of personality and emotional states, and the nature and effects of social interactions with other people.

Stream Structure

A major in Psychology is comprised of 72 units of credit of courses as follows:

Stage 1
Recommended elective (this course is not required but is recommended as a good complementary course for this major; it is only for first-year students who have taken less than 48 UOC of Level I courses):

Plus 18 UOC from Level III Psychology courses which must include AT LEAST ONE course from each of the TWO elective groups.
