Plan Outline

The Korean Studies program offers a range of skill and content based Korean language courses together with non-language based courses on Korea. The program has a flexible entry-point policy, which allows students to enrol in the language program that builds on their existing language skills.

This plan is for a major sequence in Advanced Korean Studies and is available to students commencing at advanced entry level.

Plan Structure

A major sequence in Advanced Korean Studies comprises 42 units of credit, made up of the completion of at least four 3000 series Korean Language Courses and the completion of at least two Culture Courses.

Honours

Honours level study is available in Korean Studies. Students interested in Honours should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.

Placement Test

Students with prior knowledge of Korean or background speakers sit for a placement test in order to gain entry to an appropriate language course.
