Electives
The Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Studies is offered full-time or part-time with a minimum length of one session.

For the Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Studies, students are required to complete the Core Course listed above plus two of the above listed electives to make up 24 units of credit.

There are provisions for students who have successfully completed the requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Studies to apply to upgrade to either the Graduate Diploma in Indigenous studies (requiring two additional course) or to the Masters in Indigenous Studies (requiring a further four courses).

The Graduate Certificate also provides a possible exit point for students who find they are unable to complete the Masters program due to changing commitments at work or at home.

Each course is worth 6 units of credit and is one session in duration. Class contact hours are 2 per week per course
