Plan Outline

The Graduate Certificate in Arts in Interpreting (program 7325, plan code MODLDS7325) aims to prepare students for professional activities as interpreters. Courses in interpreting are offered in English and the following languages: French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish.

The program is intended for students who have a BA or equivalent with a major in a language and native or near-native bilingual proficiency. Students who have successfully completed the requirements for the Graduate Certificate may apply to upgrade to the Master of Arts or Graduate Diploma in Interpreting and Translation Studies.

Plan Structure

Students are required to take three courses from the MA in Interpreting and Translation Studies program. The 24 units of credit are made up of the three courses courses listed below.
