For detailed information on the professional recognition this degree offers please visit Professional Recognition of Programs in the UNSW Online Handbook.

Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes

Students who complete this degree will have a rigorous grounding in tourism and hospitality management, accounting, economics and business statistics; hands-on industry training and employment experience; and leadership, management and communication skills.

During the first 6 months of the degree students undertake operational training in hospitality and event management at Kenvale College, one of Australia's leading accredited hospitality and event management trainers.

This practical training allows students to gain essential hands-on skills in service management and results in the completion of a nationally accredited Certificate III in Events, and an optional Certificate III in Hospitality. Students also have the opportunity to further their studies and complete a nationally accredited diploma.
