Stream Outline
In a minor in Development Studies, you will develop knowledge of the world of ‘development’, including foreign aid, humanitarian assistance, state welfare and local initiatives. You will learn the causes and consequences of uneven development, and be part of the debate as to what type of development, if any, is required to improve people’s lives. Upon graduation, you will have an understanding of development issues that complements learning in other fields / disciplines.
Upon successful completion of a Development Studies stream, you will be able to:

- Show a critical understanding of the key debates in development studies and an ability to articulate your own perspectives;
