Plan Outline

This plan only applies to students who commenced their degree program before 2009.

The major stream in Media, Culture and Technology provides students with a progressive understanding of the social, cultural and phenomenological impacts of media and communication technologies in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Plan Structure

The major stream consists of no fewer than 42 units of credit and normally involves two years of Upper Level study.

Before proceeding to a major stream at Upper Level, all students must take at least 6 or 12 units of credit in Level 1
including the core course ARTS1090 - Media, Culture and Everyday Life.

Level 1

Upper Levels

At Level 2, at least 12 units of credit from:
Note: Students intending to enrol in ARTS2036 Modernism will need to meet the prerequisite of 6 UOC in Level 1 English Courses.

At Level 3, at least 12 units of credit from:

Honours

Honours level study is also available in Media, Culture and Technology. Students interested in Honours should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements or contact the School in their 2nd year of study.
