Plan Outline

The BA degree requirements are administered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, however advice on the Computing major is offered by the School of Computer Science and Engineering.

A major sequence in Computing within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences consists of 42 units of credit (7 courses).

Plan Structure

Core Courses:
Students complete 24 units of credit (4 courses) of core computing courses:
Students who complete COMP1911 rather than COMP1917 will be required to complete COMP1921 before proceeding to COMP1927. This will increase the total number of computing courses to 8.

Elective Courses
Students complete 18 units of credit (3 courses) of upper level computing electives. A list of suitable courses includes:
