  • 54 units of credit (UOC) from the Required and Options Course List below to fulfil requirements for a major
  • 36 units of credit (UOC) from the Required or Options Course Lists below (including ECON1101 and ECON1102 and one Level Three course) to fulfil requirements for a minor

Plan Structure

Required level one core courses:

Compulsory courses
A minimum of 12 UOC from the following list:
Students should note that:
ECON2291 is prerequisite for ECON2101, ECON2102 and ECON3290.
ECON2292 is prerequisite for ECON2102 and ECON3290.
ECON3290 is prerequisite for ECON3291.

Elective courses
A minimum of 12 UOC from the following list of which at least 6 UOC must be Level 3 courses:

Applied Economics

International and Development

Quantitative Methods

Honours

Honours level study is available for Economics students.

Students interested in studying at Honours Level should refer to the relevant Honours plan record for entry requirements.
