Plan Outline

This plan is for students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science wishing to undertake a major sequence in Human Resource Management (HRM).

The School of Organisation and Management is located in the Faculty of Commerce and Economics.

Specialisation in human resource management provides a strong practical and theoretical grounding in the policies and processes involved in the management of people at work. In a climate of rapid economic change, effective labour management is being seen as a critical component of the operation and strategic planning of both private firms and public sector organisations.

Plan Structure

For a single major in HRM students complete the 3 required HRM courses and choose at least 2 options from List A, 1 Option from List B and two further Options from List A or B.

For a double major in HRM students complete the 3 required HRM courses and choose at least 2 options from List A, 1 Option from List B and a further Option from List A or B.

For a minor in HRM, students complete the 3 required HRM courses and 1 Option from List A or B.
