Plan Outline

This plan is for students enrolled in Combined Science and Innovation Management Program.

The Diploma aims to encourage an entrepreneurial mind-set and provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for developing business opportunities based on scientific innovation.

Plan Structure

To satisfy the requirements for a Diploma in Innovation Management, students must successfully complete the following courses:

Stage 2

INOV2100 The Innovation Process (3 UOC)
INOV2110 Business Start Up Skills (3 UOC)

Stage 3

BIOT3071 Commercial Biotech (6 UOC)
BIOT3091 Prof Issues in Biotech (6 UOC)
INOV3100 Strategic Communication (3 UOC)
INOV3110 Technical Publications (3 UOC)

Stage 4

INOV4001 The Bioentrepreneurial Process (6 UOC)
INOV4301 Innovation in Practice C (18 UOC)

PLUS one of the following:

INOV4101 Innovation in Practice A (6 UOC)
INOV4201 Innovation in Practice B (12 UOC)

Note: For the award of the Diploma in Innovation Management, students must complete all courses listed above. Students that take BIOT3071 and BIOT3091 courses as part of their BSc program must complete Innovation in Practice courses at a sufficient UOC level to meet the total 36 UOC requirement for the award of the Diploma
