Introduction to Climate Change - CLIM1001 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Description Increases in atmospheric greenhouse gases since the Industrial Revolution are changing our climate in dramatic ways. Climate change is now an issue confronting many disciplines, from architecture, engineering and business through to environmental science, public health, law, economics and policy. This course will cover the basics of climate change science, the potential impacts of future climate change, and how national and international policy has attempted to mitigate the associated risks. Lectures on different related fields will give a range of perspectives on the nature of the challenges associated with climate change. These will be supplemented with tutorials focussed on discussion and problem solving.
