Description
Develops proficient skills and confidence in conducting and managing a variety of school ensemble situations including small vocal groups and the larger instrumental ensembles.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course students will:
- Understand the principles and be able to execute basic conducting techniques
- Have gained the knowledge and experience to direct an instrumental or choral group
- Have acquired skill in rehearsal technique
- Have engaged with the issues involved in directing different kinds of large ensembles (orchestra, band or vocal) through study of a range of score examples.
