Description

This course gives the student a good exposure of the Mechatronic Systems Design process. System requirement statement, performance/behaviour description, concept design, system description. Sensors and actuators selection and Sensor integration. Kinematic and dynamic simulation. The course will cover a number of case studies from among the set of typical mechatronic systems; force controlled robots and machine tools, active vision and automotives subsystems such as ABS braking systems, active suspension systems and x-by-wire systems.
