Description

Appropriate seminars in musicology, further development of performance skills and musical leadership, music literature study, together with a thesis of 15000-20000 words on a musicological topic.


Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of scholarly research in music (through the presentation of a thesis of approximately 15000-20000 words)
  • Demonstrated high level skill in one or more areas of music study (musicology, performance, composition, music technology etc.) according to an individually designed program of study which may include an extended recital or other approved special project
  • Developed skill in music leadership or ensemble participation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of music repertoire and developed skill in commenting about it effectively
  • Knowledge of the breadth of current research in music through participation and presentations in a research seminar.
