Description

Students are given a wide range of practical dance activities that will enable them to implement all levels of the NSW Syllabuses. They will examine the national Curriculum Document and investigate ways of integrating dance with the other major arts areas.


Learning Outcomes

Students who complete this course successfully should be able to:
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of dance syllabus outcomes and content
  • Demonstrate skill in developing appropriate and innovative teaching and learning activities and assessments
  • Demonstrate awareness of effective pedagogy applied to all set tasks, discussions and assessment components.

Assessment

  • Practicum - 20%
  • Teaching program and resource - 50%
  • Major study performance - 20%
  • Workshop activities - 10%
