Description

Course requires a demonstration of skill and competence in Classical Ballet, Modern Dance and Jazz Dance.


Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skill in dance technique applied to a 'work'
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skill in performance quality applied to a 'work'
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skill in describing and analysing choreographic and teaching practices in a dance class.

Assessment

  • Demonstration of dance technique in a 'work' - 35%
  • Demonstration of performance quality in a 'work' - 35%
  • Participation (Log book and 1500 words summary) - 30%
