Description

Includes private tuition and examination on major instrument, participation in university ensembles, plus classes in performance studies and electives in composing, jazz studies or musicology.

Learning Outcomes

Enhanced proficiency in individual and group performance
Increased critical listening skills through exercises in style and performance across a broad musical repertoire
Skills in composition or musicology in support of performance studies or jazz improvisation and arranging
Ability to address issues in performance preparation through study of selected scholarly literature.
