Description
Continuation of MUSC1401.
Learning Outcomes
On the completion of this course, students will have acquired a technical foundation in individual performance and in either composition studies, jazz studies or in musicology in support of performance. They will be able to:
- Describe performance in an accurate and critical way
- Engage with the scholarly literature on some issues and decisions which confront performers
- Discriminate between musical scores from different periods
- Increase their knowledge of the solo repertoire of many instruments
- Participate in group music making and develop their own solo repertoire further.
