Description

Continuation of MUSC1401.

Learning Outcomes

On the completion of this course, students will have acquired a technical foundation in individual performance and in either composition studies, jazz studies or in musicology in support of performance. They will be able to:

Describe performance in an accurate and critical way
Engage with the scholarly literature on some issues and decisions which confront performers
Discriminate between musical scores from different periods
Increase their knowledge of the solo repertoire of many instruments
Participate in group music making and develop their own solo repertoire further.
