Description Examines the changing myths, ideas, visions, prejudices and debates through which Australians experienced themselves, others and the world during the first half of the twentieth century. Themes include the making of a White Australia, ideas of nationhood, invasion fears, the experience of Indigenous Australians, sex, disease, housewives, new forms of cinema, slums, cities and work.
