Description

Designed for students with very advanced German language skills, including native speakers. Concentrates on aspects of advanced German grammar and/or techniques of translation. Includes 1 hour per week lecture on cultural aspects of German-speaking societies or individual project.


Learning Outcomes

  • Understand spoken standard German in a variety of academic situations
  • Understand literary and academic texts
  • Participate actively in conversational situations in an academic context.

  • Written assignments - 40%
  • Tutorial presentation - 30%
  • Participation - 10%
  • Class test - 20%
