Description

A close study of the works of two major poets of the 19th century, Baudelaire and Rimbaud. Analyses the historical context and the beginnings of modernism in the work of these two poets.


Learning Outcomes

  • Gain an appreciation of the two major 19th Century poets
  • Understand the origins of poetic modernism
  • Understand complex texts
  • Develop analytical/close reading skills
  • Understand the historical background of the period.
