Description Current research on appropriate curriculum design, teaching methodologies and program development for gifted and talented children. Evaluation of program models and enrichment strategies currently used in Australia and internationally. Development of differentiated curricula for use with academically gifted students in the regular classroom or in special settings. Examines research on the effectiveness of in-class enrichment, acceleration and various forms of ability, achievement and interest grouping with particular attention to the effects of these strategies on the students' academic and social development.
