Description
Offers an overview of contemporary Chinese literature from 1949 to the present. Covers different genres such as short stories, prose and poetry as well as literary criticism.
Learning Outcomes
- Be able to critically read texts such as Lu Xun and Gao Xingjian
- Be able to interpret and analyse secondary literary sources
- Develop research and presentation skills on a selected topic
- Develop essay writing skills
- Gain exposure to different written genres.
