Program Structure

PLUS: Students who have not completed a degree in English will be required to enrol in the below course in their first semester of study to develop their knowledge and skills in literature searching, critical reading and writing, and appropriate referencing.

Academic Rules
Students who have completed requirements for the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases Intelligence will be able to transfer to the Master in Infectious Diseases with full credit for completed courses subject to time-elapsed rules consistent with the UNSW Policy on Recognition of Prior Learning.
Students may exit the Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence early to graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Infectious Diseases Intelligence (24 UOC) or a Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases Intelligence (36 UOC) if they have met the minimum requirements for these degrees.

Admission Requirements
Successful applicants will have an undergraduate degree in a health-related or public health-related discipline* and:
- Honours or postgraduate qualification in a health-related or public health-related discipline; or
- Substantial professional experience acquired as part of a health-related degree of four or more years duration (e.g. MBBS);or
- Two years full-time professional experience in a health-related or public health-related discipline, including as a volunteer in a health or public health organisation.
[*Examples include medicine, nursing, allied health, health sciences, biomedical sciences, behavioural and social sciences, human services, environmental health, veterinary science, health administration and management, biostatistics, health economics.]
