Plan Outline

The Human Resource Management (HRM) specialisation is aimed at students interested in acquiring a working knowledge of all key HRM functions and processes. Specialists in HRM are increasingly sought after in private and public sector organisations, both as managers and as management consultants. A good knowledge of HRM issues is also important for those interested in a general management career.

This specialisation provides a strong applied and theoretical grounding in all aspects of the management of people.

Plan Structure

In order to qualify for the Human Resource Management specialisation, students must complete:

4 core courses:
2 disciplinary core courses:
and 4 disciplinary courses selected from the following list:
and 2 elective courses selected from MCom offerings.

Note: COMM5001, COMM5002 and COMM5003 must be taken at the beginning of studies, and COMM5004 must be taken at the end of the program.
