Plan Summary
The Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Applied Linguistics (program 5225, plan code JAPNFS5225) aims to provide current and future teachers of the Japanese language and those who plan to pursue academic careers in Japanese Applied Linguistics with a well-founded basis and practical experience in the field.
The program draws from the existing expertise of both the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Japanese and Korean Studies to offer a unique opportunity to study Japanese linguistics and its application to teaching. Students enrolling in this program are required to have third year proficiency or equivalent in Japanese. Students are required to complete four courses from the MA in Japanese Applied Linguistics program - two or more JAPN courses from List A and remaining from LING courses in List B.
