Learning Outcomes
- Explain the nature and scope of the duties imposed by the work health and safety laws
- Advise regarding the liability of various duty holders arising from a work related incident under work health and safety laws
- Critically analyse the effectiveness of safety laws
- Understand and conduct research on the history, development and rationale behind the regulation of work health and safety standards in Australia
- Demonstrate effective written communication skills by articulating concepts clearly, persuasively and appropriately
- Demonstrate effective oral communication skills by discussing and debating course concepts in a scholarly, reflective and respectful manner
