Description This course has been designed to give students an in depth understanding of the commercial issues which arise in the context of the conduct of sport and sporting events. Issues such as assessing potential liability of organisations and individuals in a sporting context, implementing risk management programs and processes and effectively dealing with insurance issues will be dealt with from a commercial perspective.

Course Objectives The objectives of the course are to equip postgraduates with the skills to identify and deal with risk in sporting organisations, and at sporting events. Those identified risks which cannot be reduced or eliminated may be transferred to insurers, participants or other third parties as appropriate.
