Description This course provides material on current developments in Tax Administration. It is an integral part of a new program intended to satisfy demand from students, employed or potentially to be employed, in revenue authorities world-wide (but particularly in developing and transitional economies), for an articulated series of postgraduate courses of direct revelance to their work.
This course is one of three compulsory core courses which will be held in Sydney in consecutive weeks in a four week residential block each year from 2010. Recommended Prior Knowledge None
Course Objectives This course is built around two days attendance at the Atax International Tax Administration Conference, involving key note speakers and participants drawn from revenue authorities, academics and practitioners from all over the world; plus two further days teaching designed to relate the content of the conference to the specific needs of program participants.
In years when the Atax International Tax Administration Conference does not run this course may be run as an intensive. Main Topics This course is based on current developments in tax administration.
