Description This course deals with the basic principles of contract law, agency, misleading and deceptive conduct, cheques and bills of exchange. The course is a building block in the understanding of basic concepts of the enforceability of promises; it deals with the basic principles of misrepresentation, illegality and termination of contracts, and provides an introduction to statutory and equitable remedies applicable where contractual obligations have been broken.
Course Objectives This course seeks to help students develop a basic foundation for understanding the legal aspects of commercial transactions and relationships.
