Asian Studies

Description

Asian Studies focuses on modern Asian societies and cultures, and their historical traditions. Asian Studies will give you a broad understanding of Asia, with the opportunity to specialise in a country of interest.

What you will study

The UNSW Asian Studies major is distinguished by its “all Asia” approach which will provide you with a broad understanding of the Asian region, Australia’s place in it, and specialist knowledge of a particular country or region. Asian Studies students are encouraged to learn an Asian language, and UNSW offers courses at various levels in Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Indonesian*.

*Through cross-institutional study with the University of Sydney.
