Renewable Energy

Description

Renewable Energy is concerned with harnessing the energy available within the environment and using it in a sustainable way. Examples of renewable energy technologies include solar thermal systems, photovoltaics, wind generators, biomass, tidal energy, and geothermal systems.

Several international studies suggest that the net job creation across all areas of the renewable energy industry will reach many hundreds of thousands over the coming decade. This could grow to many millions of new positions by 2020.

Studying Renewable Energy at UNSW

The study of renewable energy is primarily through the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (www.pv.unsw.edu.au). Please see table below.
