![]() Interior Architecture is the specialist area of architecture concerned predominantly with interior environments. The professional practice of the discipline demands, simultaneously, broad theoretical knowledge as well as a focused practical education in both the art and the science of architecture and design.
The interior designer must have a professional understanding and concern for client and community in a seamless integration of the work with all elements of the built environment. Studying Interior Architecture at UNSW At an undergraduate level, the Faculty of Built Environment (www.fbe.unsw.edu.au) offers a four year full-time program, the Bachelor of Interior Architecture. A Bachelor of Interior Architecture/Master of Commerce program is also available which allows students to add a Masters in Commerce program to the professionally recognised Interior Architecture program.
