![]() Description At UNSW the discipline of taxation focuses on tax legislation, policies and practices. In recent times, taxation has undergone significant changes and there is a need for lawyers, accountants, economists and tax administrators with current and specific knowledge of the taxation system. Graduates are employed in leading law and accounting firms, corporations and government taxation, treasury and revenue offices.
Studying Taxation at UNSW Taxation programs at UNSW are offered through Atax (www.atax.unsw.edu.au), the taxation school in the Faculty of Law. Atax currently offers one undergraduate and five postgraduate degree programs, as listed in the table below. At the undergraduate level, students wishing to attain professional accounting accreditation can choose the accounting electives in the Bachelor of Taxation program. The degree is accredited by CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
