Program Description
The Dual award degree Bachelor of Music (Honours) / Bachelor of Laws is a 6 year program (full-time) and provides an opportunity to obtain two degrees of importance to talented students or students wishing to explore connections between music and law. The Law courses satisfy the requirements for the award of the professional LLB degree.The music courses offer intensive pre-professional training in musicology, music theory, performance and composition as well as one of four music streams: Music Creative Practice, Music Inquiry, Sonic Arts and Music Pedagogy. All streams are supported by a variety of large and small, western and non-western music ensembles as well as extensive opportunities for developing musicianship skills.
An Advanced Entry Scheme in the Bachelor of Music is available to suitably qualified applicants. Students admitted into the advanced entry scheme may receive a block credit of up to 36 UOC in Level 1 music courses.
Applicants must satisfy the entry requirements to Law as well as to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Admission to this program will be only by internal program transfer for high-achieving students already enrolled in the Dual program Music /Law 4774. In order to transfer to this program, students must have a minimum WAM of 70 in the Music component of program 4774 and have satisfied all core, elective and stream requirements in levels 1-3 of Music.

General Education Requirements
Honours
The Bachelor of Music will be awarded with the following levels of Honours:
- Honours Class I (WAM of 85 or higher)
- Honours Class II Division 1, (WAM of 75-84)
- Honours Class II Division 2 (WAM of 65-74)
- Honours Class III (WAM of 50-64)

Academic Rules
