Program Description
The program is offered over a minimum of two semesters. Students will be required to do a major thesis project which consists of two courses (a 12uoc Thesis Foundation and a 12uoc Thesis Project). These two courses provide students with key research training and critical thinking skills. Students who choose to complete Honours in one of the specialised discipline areas will be required to do a thesis project related to their chosen specialisation, plus 3 prescribed elective courses for the specific field and 1 program elective course. Students who are doing a generalist Honours degree will take 24uoc program electives. The prescribed elective courses are all delivered at advanced level which will equip students with high-order thinking skills and business analytical skills in each specialised field.

Honours
Honours are Class 1 or Class 2 Division 1 or Class 2 Division 2. Students need to achieve the following to qualify for the various classes of Honours:
Honours 1: WAM of 85 or greater in Honours Year
Honours 2: 1 WAM of 75 to 84.99 in Honours Year
Honours 2: 2 WAM of 65 to 74.99 in Honours Year
Academic Rules
Generalist Honours Program:
For those students undertaking the Honours year without a specialisation, they must complete the following:
- 24 units of credit of core courses (being BLDG4501 and BLDG4502).
- 24 units of credit of program electives (chosen from the above program elective list).
For those students undertaking the Honours year with a specialisation, they must complete the following:
- 24 units of credit of core courses (being BLDG4501 and BLDG4502). The Thesis project must relate to the student's chosen area of specialisation.
- 18 units of credit of core courses for chosen specialisation (listed above)
- 6 units of credit of program electives (from list above)
