Program Description
For admission to the program, students must satisfy the entry requirements for both the BSc (Computer Science) and the BA in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Students in this program must complete 192 units of credit of study.

Honours
Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Honours)
Once you have completed your Bachelor of Arts in Dual mode and 144 UOC overall you can apply for admission to do an Honours year in the Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Honours) program 4504. Entry to Honours requires a WAM of 70 or higher in the major stream in which you want to study at Honours level.

Computer Science Honours takes one year full-time or two years of part-time study.
Students are expected to have attained an average mark of 65 (according to New South Student calculations) to qualify for entry to the Honours year. Students who do not meet this expectation may be admitted in special circumstances. Students who have graduated with a three-year computer science degree from UNSW or another university can apply for admission to Honours.

Language Studies for Commencing Mid-Year Students
If your language skills are assessed as Level A in Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced or Professional you cannot commence study until Semester 1.

Academic Rules
The 96 units of credit for the BSc component consists of all of the requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) except for the 12 units of credit General Education requirement and 36 units of free electives.
Students must complete one of the COMP major streams listed in the specialisation section.
Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in dual degree mode:
The basic requirements are 96 UOC as follows:
- A home major stream (60 UOC);
- A minor stream (24 UOC);
- Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives (12 UOC).
- enrol in the Bachelor of Arts and complete 96 UOC
- complete the requirements for one 60 UOC home major stream
- complete the requirements for one 24 UOC minor stream
- complete 12 UOC Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives
- complete at least 30 UOC of Level 1 courses before enrolling in Level 2 courses
- specify your major and minor at the time of enrolment into Level 2
- complete at least 48 UOC, including 6 UOC at Level 1 and 6 UOC at Level 2 in your major/minor, before enrolling in Level 3 courses.
