Program Description
The School of Education offers a four-year full-time double degree for intending specialist dance educators leading to the award of Bachelor of Arts (Dance) Bachelor of Education.
Program Objectives and Graduate Attributes
The double degree also serves as an ideal basis from which to enter a range of dance and dance education professions.

Academic Rules
- enrol in the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) Bachelor of Education and complete 192 UOC
- complete the Dance Education and Education core requirements (66 UOC)
- complete the Dance Theory core requirements (36 UOC)
- complete Dance Practice core requirements(42 UOC)
- complete the requirements for one Minor stream (36 UOC)
- complete method courses in second teaching specialisation (12 UOC)
- be a Graduand or Graduate of the Bachelor of Arts
- hold a WAM of 70 or higher in those streams they are seeking to further study
- complete the List A and List B seminar coursework requirement for their area of study (18 UOC)
- complete a research project or thesis (30 UOC)

Exit Strategies
(1) Students identified at the end of Semester 1 in Level 3 will be required to complete 12 uoc of general education courses instead of DANC2106 and the upper level second teaching course.
(2) Students identified at the beginning of first semester in Level 4 will be required to complete 12 uoc of general education courses instead of the Level 4 courses.
