Program Description
As part of the requirements for the award of the BSc(Tech) degree, students are required to complete an approved program of industrial training of not less than one year prior to the award of the degree. Industrial training should normally be completed concurrently with attendance in the program, but with the approval of the Head of School, may be completed after completion of the prescribed program of study.
Students who qualify for the award of the BSc(Tech) degree and who wish to proceed to the award of a BE degree will normally be required to complete further work which will involve at least one year of full-time attendance.
Transfer is also possible from full-time programs to the part-time BSc (Tech) degree program, but a period of approved industrial experience must be gained before graduation. This requirement will apply to students transferring from BE degree programs within the Faculty.
