Industrial Chemistry - 3100 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Industrial Chemistry is a 4 year professional program that is concerned with the application of science and technology to the chemical industry.
Successful completion of the program is accepted by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and the Institution of Engineers, Australia as sufficient academic qualification for full corporate membership. The Director of Teaching and Learning, School of Chemical Engineering , may approve various program patterns involving full-time and part-time study. Note Industrial Chemistry is also available as a component of dual degree programs:
BE(Ind Chem)/Bsc,program 3102 program 3102 BE(Ind Chem)/BA, program 3704 program 3703 BE(Ind Chem)/BCom, program 3715 program 3715 BE(Ind Chem)/LLB, program 4778 program 4776 For more details please contact the Director of Teaching and Learning.
For details of all academic requirements for this program, see Rules Program Objectives and Graduate Attributes Please see Rules
The program structure below gives one sequence of courses that fulfils the requirements of the degree. The timing of the general education courses and elective courses may be modified to optimize the student's choice of courses. Students will have the option of choosing up to 18 UOC of professional electives in year 4 if first year electives are chosen to satisfy core Industrial Chemistry requirements shown in subsequent years. Recommended enrolment plans consistent with timetabling and availability can be found on the school website. While some courses are given twice a year, many courses are given only once a year. In addition, courses may have prerequisites and exclusions. Thus students should plan their enrolments carefully.
