This combined degree program enables students to complete a Major sequence from those available in the Faculty of Science (Table A) and in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Note: The Arts and Social Sciences courses within the Science Majors 'Environment and Society', 'History and Philosophy of Science' and 'Philosophy' may not be counted as part of the Science component in program 3930. The Science courses within the Arts Majors 'Geography' and 'Psychology' may not be counted as part of the Arts component in Program 3930. The typical duration of this program is 4 years full-time. For admission to the program, students must satisfy the entry requirements to both the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Arts programs. This degree program is administered by the Faculty of Science. Selecting Majors
For information on available Science Majors, please refer to Table A (Majors) in program Bachelor of Science 3970 or contact the Science Student Centre on campus. The following Arts majors are available to be taken for the Bachelor of Arts component of this degree: Asian Studies Chinese Studies Criminology Development Studies English European Studies Film Studies French Studies Hispanic Studies History History and Philosophy of Science International Relations Japanese Studies Korean Studies Linguistics Media, Culture and Technology Music Philosophy Politics Sociology and Anthropology Theatre and Performance For program rules and requirements, please refer to the Program Structure section above.
Notes: Given the requirement to complete a minimum of 84 units of credit in Science courses at Levels I-III, including a major as specified for program 3970, it may be difficult to undertake some Science majors as part of the combined degree structure due to timetable constraints. Students may not enrol in the Honours Year until they have satisfied all requirements for both the Science and Arts components of the degree.
